About Howard Elkridge Utilities<\/span><\/h3>\n

  • Howard Elkridge Utilities is a private water & sewer company\u00a0<\/span>affiliated with the developer<\/span><\/u><\/b> who built the water & sewer facilities which are necessary to connect your home to the public utilities.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The bill you received is not for water or sewer usage. You should receive a separate bill from the local municipality for those services.<\/li>\n
  • The bill you received is a reimbursement to Howard Elkridge Utilities for fronting the cost of the water and sewer infrastructure.<\/li>\n
  • This \u201cfront foot assessment\u201d will last 33 years and you will receive a bill annually, on January 1st, for as long as you own your home, or until the 33 years is up.<\/li>\n
  • If you are receiving a bill marked \u201cpast due\u201d, it is because the first bill you received this year came January 1st; the past due bill is your 2nd notice.<\/li>\n
  • If you send your payment promptly, after receiving your 2nd notice, we will not assess a late fee. We are willing to work with you, please contact us if you need to make payment arrangements.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • The first year\u2019s payment you made was most likely made at the settlement when you bought your house and land. Check your HUD-1 on page 2, under \u201cother settlement costs\u201d for a prorated amount for the first year.<\/li>\n
  • The entire charge can be prepaid in part or in full at a discounted rate.\u00a0 Please contact us for a quote.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
